NCTU Taiwan Scholarship Benefits
Studying in Taiwan can be very rewarding. An opportunity that is relatively easy to obtain. The following expenses will be covered by the NCTU International Student Scholarship:
Students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree:
• Tuition waiver and/or monthly stipend of NT$21,000 (US$700).
Students pursuing a Master’s degree:
Tuition Fee Waivers * for University students
An income of NT$22,000 (US$733) per month is provided
Students may also be offered assistantships by their advisors as part of their research work.
Students pursuing a doctoral degree:
Tuition fees will be waived
NT$29,966 (US$966) per month as monthly stipend
PhD. Additionally, advisors will provide students with assistance with research projects.

Eligibility Criteria for NCTU Taiwan
In order to apply to the National Chiao Tung University, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
International students from countries other than Taiwan are eligible to apply.
· Applicants need to be in good health physically and mentally.
*Applicants may not receive more than one scholarship at the same time.
Application materials must be submitted as required by the institution, and all information on the application form must be completed correctly, honestly, and completely.
· High school graduates are eligible to apply to Bachelor’s Degree programs.
Candidates with an undergraduate or bachelor’s degree will be eligible to apply for Master’s programs.
Master’s degree holders may apply for Ph.D. programs/Doctoral degrees
Required Documents for Application
1. Applications can be submitted online
2. Official stamps are placed on the highest degree diploma.
3. Degree transcripts at the highest level
4. Two letters of recommendation
5. Passport
2. A study plan may be written in either English or Chinese.
7. Certificate of Proficiency in English: If the previous degree is all taught in English, applicants can obtain this certificate from the university/department/advisor certifying that the language of instruction is English at the institute.”
8. Thesis or publications relevant to the program (for PhD candidates).
