Russian Government Scholarship 2022 offers a unique opportunity to talented students. It has been announced for the fifth time that the Open Door International Olympiad will take place in Russia. During this olympiad, the best minds from around the world will be selected and invited to come to Russia for graduate and postdoctoral studies. Under the Open Doors Scholarships, Olympic winners can choose from 500 Russian universities, which include 21 leading universities that took part in the 5-100 projects. The Open Doors Olympiad this year will include 14 subject categories, many of which are related to science.
A group of top Russian universities organizes the Open Doors Competition. The Association of Global Universities will organize all events of this scholarship for the Olympiad in collaboration with the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States. Along with compatriots living abroad, the organization International Humanitarian Cooperation is also an organizer of the Russian Open Doors Scholarship program.

Scholarships for Russian students studying for their master’s degree and PhD are available. Participants must have excellent academic records and leadership skills and wish to study in Russia for free. In addition to 14 subject areas, there is a new option for PhD students to apply in any of these subject areas. There were only six areas available last year for PhD students to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for the Russian Government Scholarship 2022:
- The application process is open to all international and foreign students.
- A bachelor’s degree is required for the master’s track, and a master’s degree or specialist’s degree is required for the doctoral track.
- It is also possible for compatriots living abroad to apply.
- In this Olympiad, there is no gender discrimination.
- No matter what their nationality, color, or gender, foreigners are welcome to apply.
- Participants should be proficient in either English or Russian.
How to Apply for this Russian Government Scholarship 2022?
- Since this is an Olympiad, there are two rounds for each participant, plus an additional round for those seeking a doctoral degree.
- Please click the “Participate” button after registering to apply.
- Candidate’s portfolio, including all the evidence of accomplishments including their diplomas, awards, honors, and research papers, will be reviewed in the first round. Make sure you include all of your achievements.
- It is possible to use the same portfolio structure for all subjects separately.
- Your portfolio must be submitted by the deadline. If it is not submitted by then, it can’t be edited.
- When you are selected in round-2, you will receive an email with all the instructions for stage-2.
- Exams will be taken online for Stage 2. You will need to upload all of your relevant answer files. The exam will be monitored using a webcam, and you are not permitted to leave the room unless asked.
- PhD students must take stage 3. The stage 3 interview is required for PhD students.
- PhD students have to select a supervisor for their research after getting the all-clear from their committee.
- There are no limitations on how many subjects you can apply to, however you have to do so separately.
- Documents that are translated into Russian and notarized must be submitted by Olympiad winners.
